Week 14: Three Stars of the Week

First Star:  Lindsay DiPietro 
(Fraser Valley Jets)

Lindsay DiPietro posted eight points in two games in the Capital Region to lead the Fraser Valley Jets to a pair of wins over the Island Surge.
The three-time SCWHL scoring champion had a goal and two assists in Saturday’s 8-3 win at the Panorama Rec Centre. The former Wayne State (Detroit) Warrior added three goals and a pair of helpers in Sunday’s 13-1 triumph in Esquimalt.
In nine games played this season, DiPietro has 12 goals and nine assists, tied for the scoring lead.

Second Star:  Natasha Steblin 
(Fraser Valley Jets)

A seven-point weekend has vaulted Natasha Steblin of the     Fraser Valley Jets up the SCWHL scoring race.
Steblin netted one goal in an 8-3 win Saturday, the exploded for five goals and an assist in Sunday’s 13-1 triumph.
The former University of Alberta Panda leads all defenders in scoring – and ranks fifth overall in the SCWHL – with seven goals and 15 points in 12 games played.

Third Star:  Darcy Henderson 
(Meadow Ridge Moose)

Darcy Henderson scored both goals for the Meadow Ridge Moose Friday night, lifting her team to a 2-1 win over the first-place Kamloops Vibe at the Langley Sportsplex.
Henderson scored the first goal of the game in the last minute of the second period, the netted the eventual game-winner midway through the third period to five the Moose a 2-0 lead.
In 17 games with the Moose this season, she has five goals and 11 points.
