Due to a severe snowstorm in Central BC, the Northern Penguins are unable to travel to the South Coast for three scheduled games this weekend.
The SCWHL executive supports the Penguins in their decision not to attempt to travel, as per Environment Canada and Drive BC warnings against driving in the cold and snow.
All games involving the Penguins for this weekend have been cancelled, and will likely not be made up at a later date. Therefore, final standings and playoff positions will be based on winning percentage at the end of the season.
Also, because the Penguins are unable to turn in their tickets for the SCWHL Raffle, the draw will NOT take place tomorrow. Approval from BC Gaming has been received to do the draw on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Planet Ice - Delta at 1 p.m.
