First Star: Chelsea Wilson

Fraser Valley Jets

Fraser Valley Jets forward Chelsea Wilson collected five points in a pair of games in Week Six, moving into third place in the SCWHL scoring race.

Wilson scored once in a 3-3 tie with the South Fraser TNT Saturday evening at Planet Ice – Coquitlam, then recorded a hat trick while adding an assist in a 7-1 victory over the Burnaby Mountain Capitals Sunday afternoon at Planet Ice – Delta.

In five games with the Jets this season, Wilson has six goals and nine points.

Second Star: Emily Costales

Richmond Devils

With a three-goal effort in a 6-6 tie with the Meadow Ridge Moose, Emily Costales raised her season total to five goals in three games played.

Costales played five seasons of university hockey - three with the Syracuse Orange in New York State and two with the University of British Columbia – before two and one-half seasons with the Vanke Rays in China.

In 12 games with the Devils last season, Costales scored six goals and added four assists.

Third Star: Sydney Kreps

Meadow Ridge Moose

Sydney Kreps earned three points in Saturday’s 6-6 tie with the Richmond Devils at the Richmond Ice Centre.

The Meadow Ridge Moose forward scored a go-ahead goal in the second period, assisted on a shorthanded tally by Emily Bajkov midway through the third period, then added her second goal of the game on the power play with four minutes remaining to close out the scoring.

Kreps has three goals and a pair of helpers in five games played this season.
