Moose edge Rebels for another win


Jessie Sanghe broke a 2-2 tie with her second goal of the season with just three minutes to play to left the Meadow Ridge Moose to a 3-2 win over the North Shore Rebels Friday night at the Langley Sportsplex.

Evan Rodger and Paige Smith also scored for the Moose, the early leaders in the South Coast Women’s Hockey League standings with two wins in as many games played.

Nicole Charlton and Shannon Morris-Reade were the goal scorers for the Rebels, who are in fourth place with a loss and a tie in two starts.

The Fraser Valley Jets got a pair of goals from Alannah Kedra in the last 10 minutes of play for a come-from-behind 2-1 win over the Richmond Devils Sunday afternoon at Planet Ice - Delta. Kedra also assisted on a second-period powerplay goal by Amanda Christie.

The win has the Jets in second place after two weeks of play with a win and a loss.

Lauren McKay scored once and assisted on a tally by Jodie Wong for the Devils, who were playing their first game of the season.
